Cost
In accordance with School Committee policy, free transportation is provided for students in kindergarten through grade six residing two miles or more from school. Fee-based transportation services are also available to all other students. The cost for fee-based transportation in the 2011-2012 school year is $512 per student with a family cap of two times the fee plus $100. In other words, when there are more than two children in a family participating in the fee-based transportation program, the fee for the third child is $100. If you sign up after the school year has begun, it may be possible to get a prorated fee.
Applying for Fee-Based Transportation
Information about busing for the next school year is typically distributed in March. To ensure that the bus route includes a stop that is convenient for your family, it's important to submit your application on time in the spring. However, there is still room on the Hardy bus this year and it's not too late to sign. Use the following form to apply for fee-based transportation for the 2011-2012 school year:
