Dear Fellow Hardy Parents:
Each year we ask parents to support the PTO so that we can fund extra experiences, events and programs for our children. Some of these are: Kindergartners experimenting with water in class, First graders visiting the Aquarium, Second graders hosting live sea creatures in class, Third graders seeing a Russian dance, Fourth graders getting a visit from a 'math wiz' and Fifth graders experimenting with light and color. All school events include the Fall Gathering, Ice Skating Party and Movie Night.
These “extras” supplement our children's education, and help make Hardy School an exciting place to learn. While one might assume these programs are paid for by the town, they are not. The PTO funds these experiences, provides extra support to teachers and staff throughout the year, and hosts several all school events. The average amount spent per child every year is over $150. Therefore, your support of the PTO each year is crucial, and enables us to meet our annual expenditures of $45,000.
It is our goal to have 100% participation among Hardy families this year. As a community, we share the burden and the rewards of our children’s education, so please give generously to the Hardy PTO. Your gift is entirely tax deductible and every one of your dollars will be used to enhance the educational experiences of all of our children.
This year, we are trying something new! We have added a Paypal link for Hardy so that you can contribute to the PTO online with your credit card instead of sending a check in with your child. Please go to:
