Hardy Butterfly Garden

One of the most magical places on our school grounds is Hardy’s Butterfly Garden. You’ve no doubt heard from students about releasing their butterflies in the garden or how they have used the garden to study metamorphose. The Butterfly Garden was a gift to the Hardy School in 2003 from the Home and Garden Club of Wellesley.  Volunteers from the club and the Hardy Beautification Committee work together to maintain the garden. If you haven’t visited the Hardy Butterfly Garden, stop by with your child and explore the various plants, including:  American columbine, sedum, allium, yarrow, New England aster, monarda, coneflowers, black-eyed susans, butterfly weed and butterfly bush.
